Did the connector come of the switch or off at the seat, underneath?

I'm not sure about a fuse, I seem to remember that the power seats are run off a circuit breaker. At least they are in 87/88 TCs. Pull the panel where the adjustor switch is and see if you have voltage there.

all the connections under the seat are fine same with the ones at the switch. but there was no voltage at the wires that plug into the switch. its an 87. where is the circut breaker located?

99% it's located in the fuse panel, one of those little silver boxes. I'm at work now so can't provide definative info; once I get home I can look in my EVTM and give you all the info. That'll be about 4:30 PM west coast time.

It is located in the fuse panel as Joe said, in the number 12 position. It's towards the center of the fuse panel, near the end row.

Do the door locks work?

OK here's the scoop: The circuit breaker is rated 20A in position 12(?) of the panel; it is fed from "hot at all times" - this should be one of the fusible links in the engine compartment, I can tell you which one if you need it.

The CB feeds circuit 517 (LB/W) which supplies power to (1) the power seats, (2) power door locks, and (3) the keyless entry system. It feeds the PS switches still ckt 517 but now wire color is BK/W. The switches control the motor assemblies in the PS; there are thre separate motors each with an integral CB also in the motor assembly.

If the keyless entry and/or the power door locks work, then the CB is not the problem; if all of the above are down then it could be the culprit, but it also could be the fusible link.

Further info: The fusible link circuit (38, BK/O) that suppiles the power seat circuit breaker also supplies circuit 195 (T/W) for the auto headlamps, and 54 (LG/Y) to main light switch, courtesy lamps, illuminated entry, and power mirrors. If any/all of those work, it's not the fuse link.

its deffinatly not the breaker in the fuse box, swapped it with one from my parts car and nothing, my power door locks also work. the last thing i remeber doing before the seat quit was boost another car. positive it was all hooked up right.
