Does anyone have an extra power antenna? I'm assuming they are basically the same as the TC as for the '84 T-birds and Cougars.
Thanks!

I think so. I've not taken it apart on the Cougar yet, but I assume the power antenna assy is the same in both the TC and Cougar, but I could be wrong. Let me take it out and send you a photo. I may just have to use a whip antenna....
Give me a day to get it out.
Thanks!

Does your car have a power antenna now? If so, I would be willing to bet you only need the mast. Can you hear the electric motor running when you push the up/down button? Maybe stick your head in the wheel well and have someone else push the button. Or you can pull it and test it on the bench because if you do need a mast you'll have to pull it to fix it anyway.

That's what I used to fix mine when it broke. I will warn you that I wasn't totally happy with it after the repair because in order to get the tip of the antenna through the mount I had to drill the mount out slightly which left the antenna a little sloppy. Either way, I have a functioning antenna again and most of the time I use bluetooth through the radio and just leave the antenna down.

Yes, it has a power antenna.
I found this: https://www.amazon.com/Metra-44-PW20-Pow...WTEOE&th=1
might work... just haven't gotten to it yet.

That would certainly be easier then replacing the mast if it will bolt in.
