Now that I have a newly acquired RFE6 ported exhaust manifold, I see the port size mismatch between the stock IHI turbo inlet and the ported RFE6. Will that be a problem?
How difficult would it be to open up the inlet on the IHI to match the RFE6? Would the IHI need to be disassembled to port or can you safely stuff rags or ? to keep the debris out?
Would a dremel be sufficient to port the IHI inlet? What type of bit would work best?
What is the correct gasket to use for the larger RFE6 opening? The manifold came with one, but I would like to know where you get a replacement for future reference.
When you run a different turbo such as a t3/t4 hybrid, are the inlet ports larger or would they also benefit from porting?

Sorry I can't be of much help, but who/where ported your RFE6 and where did you get the manifold? My TC has one and I'm just curious what they are worth and how much better they might be.

I don't know anything about porting so can't help ya there.
The turbo-to-manifold gasket is FEL-PRO Part # ES72811. This is a gasket set in which the turbo-to-manifold gasket is included. As far as I know, this is the only one there is. I'm not aware of a T-t-M gasket with a smaller opening.
When I bought my T3/T4 from Performance Techniques, the inlet port on the turbine housing was already matched to the size of the gasket opening so no extra work required.
