I posted the pics of the stock Gnari to a stock E6 earlier, here is the final porting pics of the Gnari compared to a stock E6. The stock outlet on the E6 is very difficult to see through both the #3 and the #4 inlets and you can see that a wood dowel I had will not go through the ports. The ported Gnari passes the dowel through very easily with room to wiggle around each port. I think with the extra 1/2" extension on the Gnari really allows a good port job to be done compared to an E6. I also tried to grind in some flow diverter to the Gnari like the E6 has stock. Also, as I plan on ceramic coating this manifold, I ground down the casting bosses that were on the bottom as well as on the tops of the mounting bolts. I tried to smooth them out to have as little hard edges as possible for a better coating finish.

What are using for tools to remove material? Did you port the E6 previously yourself?
What is the flow diverter on the E6 and where to add on the Gnari?

Mikey,
I use standard die grinder bits, one 6" long, one short, both oval shaped to take out the metal, a small cheap set of grinding stones, and some sanding rolls with a long shaft to get as far into the manifold as possible. I have a small 30 gal compressor and a cheap die grinder from Walmart. The E6 pics here are of a completely stock one I took off my 88 TC to put another E6 I had ported earlier. I feel like I can get better corners on the Gnari than the E6 I did two years ago, but of course it's on the car now so I can't take comparison pics. The flow diverter is right behind where the turbo mounts, it looks like a small two sided ramp that directs the exhaust flow out toward the turbo. The Gnari was basically flat, so I ground some out to give it a smaller version of the stock E6, you can see a better view of it in my other post comparing the two stock versions, also you can see the Gnari version in the 10th pic above. Hope this helps https://turbotbird.com/thread-gnari-to-e6-comparison

Thanks, Before I install this one I will be taking some notes on the spool up times and how it feels in general compared to the ported E6 I have on it now. There is still more work to be done with it, some final minor clean up and some more smoothing out, also looking to ceramic coat it whiles it's still new.
