The guy says a T5 from a TC will work with a 5.0 Here is the message

I must say your wrong,It will work with the 5.0 if you swap the input bearing
& bell. Some T-birds used the larger input shaft as the 5.0's.The gearing is
lower, but most 5.0 owners like that for a better launch & 3rd gear passing
power.

work with the 5.0 It has a smaller input shaft and the gearing is not setup for
a v8. Also the T-5 is a world class

My brother bought a 5.0 and it had a TC 5 speed in it and it worked fine, but the gearing was weird.

You can go that route but you will need the correct input shaft bearing/bushing for the TC tranny (it's smaller). Yes the gearing is different and the torque capacity of the TC tranny isn't as high as that of the 5.0l ones..even the later 86-88 WC ones aren't rated that high.
