Doing a 2.3 conv. on my 88 TBird.
I got the motor and tranny put in and wired to the point that it should start and it turned over. I then installed the fuel lines and after I tried to start and all I got was alot of clicking from the starter relay solenoid. Traced wires and the only thing I could find was the starter wire had gotten pushed against the tranny lines and there was a bare spot that would of grounded itself out. I fixed that wire and it still does it. I tried a new starter and different solenoids and didnt make a difference. The battery is fully charged and everything as I can tell after going over and over it id wired right. Nate

Did you check the fusible links, and did you try hot wiring the starter to see if it goes? Just a guess.
