There was a post several years ago where a guy used a bolt and a nut to push the pilot bearing out. Can anyone find it? I am going to do a pilot bearing swap and cant find the post.

a slide hammer with a hook/notch on it works great....or grease and a dowel rod if you don't mind the mess.

OR bread and a bolt that just fits through the bearing. Stuff the bread in and mash it with the bolt. Keep on filling the hole with bread and repeating. But I think it is easier to just get the loaner tool. Got mine from advance for 39.99.

i know exactly what youre talking about, all you need is a nut that fits through the center of the pilot bearing and a bolt that fits that nut. start the nut on the end of the bolt, the push that end through the pilot bearing. put the bolt on an angle so the nut hooks behind the bearing and start screwing in the bolt. as you thread in the bolt, it should force the nut (and the bearing) toward you.
