The numbers aren't high. They are a little low but nothing to get worried about. What weight oil are you running - 5W-30, 10-30?

Oil level can affect the numbers but it more a function of oil temperature. If your a quart low, the 4 remaining quarts get circulated more quickly so the oil stays warmer (and thinner so oil pressure is somewhat lower

Makes sense, you were joking about 5w30 rite?
Im runing 10w40 what do you run? i've heard the more broke in a motor is, the more you should use a heavier weight oil. The only thing I know about oil is, you poor it in the motor.

I run 15-50 in summer. And i don't drive it in winter. 5W-30 would be good in cold climate winter season

I think it sucks but my new Escape has the recommendation to run only 5W-20, year round. In other words Ford wants you to sacrifice engine life for cafe standards.

Pete, the wifes 2002 Taurus 3.0 Vulcan also "requires" 5w20. I have been running M1 5W30 spring / summer / fall in it and M1 0W30 during the winter, changing it every 5K miles. I am 99.9% sure that doing that wont void the warranty (which is almost over anyway... has 31K miles) since it meets all Ford specs, except the "hot" viscosity spec. Even though the Motorcraft 5W20 is supposedly synthetic, from the fairly extensive reading I have done, it is FAR inferior to Mobil 1 synthetic.

Does that Escape have that HORRIBLE 5 speed automatic with no dipstick that requires the Ford dealer only WDS scan tool to change the tranny fluid?

The 15W-50 will change the oil pressure as opposed to the 10w-30 right?
