Yeah, It should be fun to work on...I just hope it's NOT GONNA TAKE 8 MONTHS!!!!LOL

Today, A Stang guy I know hooked me up with a hood and all 6 lights for $75!! Saturday when I went to get the car I saw there was an XR7 out in the field. The car looked pretty complete. I noticed it had leather seats...anyway, he said that he'd take $250 for the whole car! Does anyone know what computer is suppose to be in that car? It's an auto. He said that when he got it, there wasn't a computer and he put one in it, but couldn't get it to start. He doesn't know anything about these engines or the computers that are suppose to go in them. So, I need to save some cash and I've got a motor.
BTW, will the driveshaft from an auto T-Bird/Cougar fit my 87TC? The one in the white TC is vibrating like hell. It WAS on the orange TC, but switched them when the white one was in the shop. Now, the wife's driving the white one all the time and I don't want it to tear up anything. I checked the U joints when it was on the orange TC and they seemed OK.

Gunmetal grey is a cool color, but I'm not to sure about it with the red interior. Do you guy's think green will look OK with red interior?
What size rear is in the car now? Do I need to put a rear end in it? Since I'm gonna be getting that Cougar, can I put that rear in it? Is it like the one's in the TC's?
After I get what I want from the XR7, I'm gonna part the rest.
THANKS

Hmm... with a red interior... Thats a toughy, I'm going through the same thing with my TC dag nabbit. Umm...How about a NICE metallic black? Black out the windows as much as legally possible. Did you look at those ground effect kits? Look on Ebay for ground effects too...

I looked at the ground effects. I like that kit! If I had the money, I'd get it. I guess I have to sell the body kit from the Neon first. I though about black or white, but I'd like something not normal....
The windows are already tinted pretty dark.

As for color, how about the cinnamon red so many TCs had with the red interior? Not sure if that's the same paint that was used on the Mustangs, but think it would look nice in any case. Might even go with a more metallic look (probably NOT a cheap paint to purchase). The black that has already suggested would be my preference, but probably wouldn't be all that unique, and way too hot in the summer anyway (just IMO).

Have fun with this one...should be a nice ride when you're done.

Tim, the rear in that Mustang is a 7.5, probably with 3.45 gears. It should be strong enough for the 2.3 turbo, BUT it doesn't have positraction. The rear in that XR7, assuming it's a turbo, should be trac-lock (posi) and have about the same gears. The '87-88 TCs have the tough as nails 8.8 rear with trac-lock, but with the turbo motor the 8.8 is sort of overkill. I've seen gears for the 7.5 sell pretty cheap too. About that interior, please don't do green with a red interior. Can you say Christmas?? How about 7-up? [Image: smile.gif]
'88 Thunderbird TC, daily headache with a few mods, 14.65 and still not happy Smile

'86 Mustang GT, daily transport, fresh 302, Twisted Wedge heads, Track Heat intake, custom cam, all the associated goodies, 4.10s, hoping for mid 12s n/a

This could be you! (2.3 na )Tell me how to post a picture on this thing and I'll scan this cool pic of a 91' notch that I found in a mag with a T-bird body kit. The mag is fom 92 or 93 I think.
I just tried to show Jiggy your pic but it comes up "page not found" know why?

88 TC auto silver full load/sunroof 147K K&N cone filter, Gillis valve set at 17 lbs. This thing looks cool but is dog compared to my 87 5sp that now has motor out and is being rebuilt.(slowly)May make one killer car from these two yet.

Tank,
That burnout was from a N/A notch?
What color is that?
I like that much better than the bright red that mine is now.
I'm not sure about the pics, but I'll check it out. If I can't get 'em to work, I'll post some more.
