Can the 87/88 pedal assemblies be retrofited for a cable clutch vice the hydraulic?

Yes... search "pedal assy".
I found 21 posts on the changeover.It's something
I may consider doing myself.
My bad..you said retrofit the existing pedal assy....I was looking for a auto to manual cable
pedal change over...sorry.

im sure there is a way with a little thinking.
87 tc with 49,000 original miles, with melted down pistons, new motor being built and getting ready for drag racing for the end of august 08

I'm wondering if I am better off going with an 86 or earlier clutch cable setup vice going with the 87 or later hydraulic.
What have the guys done that did the V8 conversion and had to use a cable clutch for the V8 transmission.
