Figured is post a thread on parts.
Parts, I've come up with and maybe if some of you have parts list of your build or just a wish list.

so here is mine for now.

- Gillis Valve
- 3" exhaust, everything priced on summitracing.com to include tubing, catalytic converter, split flow muffler, glasspacks, turndown, and hangers.
- MSD 6AL-2, MSD Streetfire coil
Im going to do a custom 3" exhaust. Planned on gutting the new cat to at least appear legal. Then 3" into single in dual out cherry bomb split flow muffler (not chambered), then 3" into 2 glasspacks that are being used more like resonators. Then if it fits or is needed will have turndowns at the rear bumper.

I think I need to add something to the list, more on the wish list side but watched a video of a 2.3 with boports 1.9 cam. I have to say I love the way it sounds, I just wish the rpm range was a little lower.

Great start. I run an MSD Blaster SS coil, I opted to remove the factory mount. If you decide to get some performance spark plug wires, take a look at MAGNECOR wires (www.magnecor.com)

They've got a fantastic amount of info on their site, and none of it is bogus. I run their 10mm R-100 "racing" wires. They may be expensive, but if they're handled correctly they'll last a LONG time. Mine were installed about nine years ago and they're still like new.

The correct Magnecor part number is 49490.

Cheers!

Instead of buying a cat, then gutting it, why not get a fake catalytic converter that looks like a converter on the outside and is really a straight through tube on the inside. I think they only cost about $50. Summit probably doesn't sell them. They should be easy to find on the internet.

The cat I was looking at was $45.97, then I can take the guts to a scrap yard and get about $20 back for it.

Thanks for the great info. I checked their site and I think the part number may have changed. I couldn't find 49490 anywhere, but they do list the r-100 wires for the turbo coupes as 49190.

SIS sells fake cats, but they're almost as much as the real one you're looking at so probably not worth it unless you want to avoid the hassle of gutting one.

I have a air hammer that will make quick work out of gutting it.
Besides having the extra, large open chamber should help in getting the deep low exhaust note I'm looking for.

So are you asking people to post their wish lists, current aftermarket parts upgrades, or suggestions on your parts list/upgrades?

When upgrading to go-faster parts, a wideband O2 sensor is always a good early step, especially if upping the boost is in consideration.

Both, we all have different budgets, parts sources, end goals, etc. I know I've already learned a lot from this site and figured we can learn from each other what parts are available where, and different options that may provide the results someone is looking for. So anyone wanting to post their idea for their parts list or wish list as it often ends up being, we can get even more ideas of things to do to our turbo coupes.
Wideband O2 sensor was in the plan too, I wasn't thinking about that when I posted. I've actually thought about building a pillar gauge pod from scratch to replace the factory pillar panel.
