Paint Engine block

I'm thinking about painting my engine block with it in place, everything is original on the car and I don't want to mess that up. The car is a 1986 turbo coupe, what is the correct color? Has anyone else done this and if so can you recommend a high Temperature paint to use? I'm thinking a can of paint rather than a spray can. Would love to see photos of someone else's paint job.
