Overboosting???

Hola once again, so i have a gillis and i cant seeem to get it to work! bummer lol
I have it hooked from the empty vaccum tree port straight to the wga and itll do 10 psi but if put in the gillis in between then it will overboost no matter what the gillis is set
Any help is so much appreicated

Where are the hoses hooked up to the valve? The inlet (hose from the vac tree) should go in to the bottom of the valve, and the outlet (to the WGA) should come out of the side port on the valve.

Even the best parts manufacturers out there send out bad parts occasionally. It's possible you might have got the one defective part out many.
I'm not sure how the gillis valve is made, but you may be able to trouble shoot it to see if it is defective.

Are all the hoses clear, unclogged, and unkinked?

If they are, then I would take the valve apart to carefully remove the ball & spring, then reconnect the lines and see if it overboosts- obviously it shouldn't.

If it doesn't, then you know that either the ball is sticking, or the spring it too strong.

Checked it all out and everything seems fine. my last bleed valve did the same so i know its not the gillis. im going to take out the ball and spring tomorrow and try again

What if the diaphragm in the wastegate actuator is leaking? It may work with enough signal reference, but the Gillis valve may not alow enough air to let the wastegate open.
