Open wastegates....

So back in my Okinawa drifting days, all the fast cars used open wastegates and we would modify a stock outlet with a separator for the wastegate valve and the exhaust outlet, and weld a piece of pipe for a downpipe for the wastegate valve. Which would effectively separate the exhaust flow from the wastegate flow, and sounded awesome to boot. Anyone running an open wastegate on their 2.3's? Opinions?

i am. everything else is so loud in the car that the wastegate is just more noise. i think whatever suits your application & packages well is worth considering.
