Finally got the Gillis valve installed and working correctly. All I can say is WOW! What a differance. I don"t know how long the Auto will hold out for but when it goes I'll swap in the five speed. I highly recommend the upgrade. Set at 15psi (factory gauge) but the next upgrade is a boost gauge. Can't wait till I finish the other motor. Won't be till spring. Bigger turbo and lots more room for breathing should equal a hell of a blast.

88 TC auto silver full load/sunroof 147K K&N cone filter, Gillis valve set at 17 lbs. This thing looks cool but is dog compared to my 87 5sp that now has motor out and is being rebuilt.(slowly)May make one killer car from these two yet.

Mike65, No problems really just my stupidity when I removed my vacuum lines I forgot which was were. Yes, definitly worth a WOW! The diff in performance is huge. Pulls hard of the line. Go for it. Cheap HP. Easy install. Great bang for the buck.
May the boost be with you,
Tank
PS
GaryS sent me a great diagram on the install(Thanks again) I hope you don"t mind me posting it here.

Tank... you think it's WOW with an auto? Just wait until you get to drive a 5 spd with one install. That WOW will change to a HELL YEAH! real quick.

Sounds like another convert to the Power of the Dark Side [Image: biggrin.gif]
Wait until you conver to the 5 speed and dial in about 18 psi. It gets even better.

They aren't lying. Jersey and the mid atlantic region in general, seem to have alot of drivers that don't like to be passed. You know the Kind, they're doing 70, you're at 75, you go to pass and they speed up. It is so nice to just give them the boost and go about my business. [Image: smile.gif]

I went from bone stock a4ld to -- t5, gillis, and K&N in the fenderwell...so triple WOW for me. I really liked my tc as a stock auto, but now I'm constantly looking for excuses to go for a drive. [Image: smile.gif]
