Oil return line

Hi,the oil return line from the turbo on my '87 Tbird is cracked and I was wondering if fabricating a new line would be possible, also I just got T3 turbo, manifold, and oil lines out of a 87 merkur at the local junkyard for $100 canadian, I don't know if I paid to much.

I don't know the particulars for making your own oil line but it has been done.

I got a new T3 line for about $10 US on Ebay.

That price is decent for what you got. What is the condition of the turbo? Even if the bearings are all done, you could send it in as a core to be built up into a T3/T4 hybrid.

The Merk compressor housing won't have the smooth outlet for an intercooler hose, so you'll have to swap it out, or get a matching flange and weld up something to bolt to the Merk T3 housing.

Like PhilS says, its a good deal even for the core. You can also have the flange machined off of the outlet to smooth it up. But, if you want an IHI return line, I have one for you. Are you going to be putting the T3 on anytime soon?

Yeah I've been trying to find a return line from a 87-88 for a while but no luck, I'm wondering how much you would charge. Also the T3's in pretty good condition the merkur it was pulled from had 120kms on it. I probably won't put it on till the winter.
