ive had an oil leak and have not been able to find out where its leakin from (other then that its on the drivers side of the motor). i even took it to a mechanic and they had no clue either. my question is whould u guys recomend the engine stop leak stuff, i doubt it will do any thing i was just wondering if its smart to put in a turbo motor.

i have noticed that when the car is idleing my oil presssure drops into the red of the stock gauge, i think my pressure sending unit is bad, as it did thia before the leak started and with a diffrent gauge , just not as frequintly.
my last question is i have a spare motor in my parts car that ran great for the 2 years it was on the road, its been sittin for about a year and i was thinkin of just swapping them over. other then the obviouse things like vacuum hoses and collant lnies is there anything else i should check before i drop it in my daily driver

I don't know of a "stop leak" for oil leaks. only for coolant leaks. Even if there were, I wouldn't recommend it. Find the leak and fix it.

Failing sending units can read lower and lower as they fail. If you replace it put a good diagnostic gauge on it and find out what numbers you really have. I wouldn't just replace the engine unless you actually have a low oil pressure problem as shown by a good mechanical gauge.

Things that can leak on the friver's side are:
1. Valve cover gasket
2. Oil pressure sending unit itself or where is screws into the oil supply manifold.
3. turbo oil supply line that screws into the bottom of the oil supply manifold mentioned above. This line is very difficult to see at that location. They can crakce from vibration oer the long haul.
4. the oil supply manifold where it is screwed into the head.
5. the oil cooler or the oil filter where it screws onto the cooler.
6. the dipstick tube where it slips into the block.
7. The oil level sensor where it fits into the oil pan.
8. oil pan drain plug.
9. the oil seperator for the pcv system if it rusts out
