The car is an '88 TC. I have had the car running for about 4 months but have not driven it on the street until last week. It never leaked a drop of oil and I started it regulary and moved it around often too. I got it back from the paint shop and drove it about 25 miles home and when I got home there were spots on the driveway. The swaybar was wet with oil too. I did not see any on the crankshaft pulley. If the aux shaft seal was leaking would oil get on the crankpulley or run from behind the timing cover and drip? Could this leak be boost related? Are these seals a pain to change in the car?

Have you checked the PCV valve, by the distributor. Take it out, hold it straight up and down, big end down. Try to blow though the small end. If it passes ANY air at all replace it. Use ONLY the Ford Valve, Ford P/N: E5ZZ-6A666-A (this is the correct p/n, 5/13/02) The Motorcraft box will also have EV-127-A on it.
The crank front seal and the Aux shaft seal aren't that bad to change. both seals are the same. Are you sure it's those seals. Could it be the oil pan or the front cover piece?

Do you have tie timing belt cover on? If so, a common leak is the bolt that holds the cam gear on. The bolt is exposed to oil inside the camshaft, and must be installed with teflon tape, etc to prevent leaks. With the timing belt cover on, oil from the bolt can get flung into the inside of the cover, and run down to the bottom and leak out.
