hey guys, i need some help... i have a small irritating oil leak somewhere on the intake side of the engine..i have visually inspected the oil filter, thevalve cover gasket, the dipstick tube, the feed line to the turbo, the pvc hoses. its not a big leak, but after a 20 mile cruise i have oil on the fuel lines and hoses under the intake,it will drip off and leave a half-dollar size puddle on the driveway. what is the "oil seperator" and could this be the culprit? also could the "oil cooler" be leaking where it attaches to the block??? also ,HOW is it attached to the block? any help will be greatly appreciated!!!! bill(turbo88)

You can get a new gasket for the oil cooler from ford. It is a very simple item that is nothing more than a round gasket. You sound like its the same problem I have...I've replaced everything and it has been narrowed down to the head gasket at the rear of the engine. Only leaks outward doesn't leak inside the engine.

BLast the whole area clean with brake cleaner, etc, and go for a short ride, and then inspect the area to try to narrow down where the leak is from. Maybe jam some old rags in various places in the area and see which ones get oil on them? The oil press sending unit is another posible leak source.
