In the coming days or weeks, I will be installing a Ford Racing 90 degree oil filter adapter.....
I've heard the oil cooler gets plugged somewhere, how so? Is it possible to clear the plugs without destroying the oil cooler or tearing the entire car apart? I figure I'll be down there anyways....

Stock cooler can become plugged with debris if you have had an internal engine failure like aux shaft gear / dist gear chewed to pieces, etc. Word is on the street if this happens it is virtually impossible to clean it out. If clogged with sludge, a soak in a strong cleaner followed by blowing it out with air, etc should do a decent job of cleaning it up.

If you find that it is clogged beyond your ability to get it flowing again, may I suggest a cool write up. Cut it open and take some pics for us. You earn cool points for stuff like that.

Never noticed any problems, so I didn't fuss with it...but....I installed the 90 degree adapter and IT DIDN'T F-ING FIT with an FL1A style filter....I'm annoyed....
