Well i plan on getting my car insured tm but im coming across problems thats making me think otherwise. The car is running well as i cruise but im coming to realize theres something wrong.. wen i cruise and then come to the stop the car pegs lean on the wideband and dies. no clue why. I dropped my timing to 12 degrees spout out and it reads 26 degrees spout in. The fuel pressure is at 41 psi and im running 15 psi of boost. the air/fuel reads very well.

I just came in and after all this happening the car now throws a turbo light nd wont start.. ughhh whats going on... any info would help

too much bad luck for me

Is the IAC plugged in? Has it been cleaned or tested lately?

Have you checked for air leaks before the throttle body? Pulled codes?

i havent messes with iac im guna yank that off and clean it. I have no air leaks anywhere the car cruises amazing and when the 15 psi kicks in for a auto car it dances well. I think my best interest is to get a more knowledged person to check it all out.

The CHECK TURBO light has nothing to do with your problem. It is not controlled by the PCM, and will not affect how the car starts / runs in any way. Common to get water in the overboost switch causing the TURBO light to randomly come on.

+1 on what Pete said about checking / cleaning the IAC.

smoke could be a bad seal in the turbo on the exhaust side. Pull your plugs and if they look good with no evidence of burning oil then rest assured its the exhaust side seal in the turbo.

Pull your intercooler off and have a look at the inside of the hose from the turbo to the cooler for oil, that will determine the Turbo seal. Does it smoke all the time or just when you take your foot out of it and let engine compression slow you down, as engine vac will draw oil past the stem seals or rings, and throught the valve seats. Other than that, Rings!
Run a compression test, first dry, IE just hook up the guage and run each cylinder for the numbers, than spray a bit of engine oil, a couple of good pumps with a good old fashioned oil can, into each cylinder just before you test them again and record the results and compare. Usually an increase in compression after adding oil to a cylinder during testing will mean that the oil helped seal the piston rings and this indicates bad pistom rings. IF there is no noticable increase in compression, you are looking at hardened/failing valve stem seals or valve stem/head wear.

ok well theres no oil in the intercooler hoses or anywhere really.. the smoke dont smell like burning oil really.. its a on and off smoke... smokes for a bit then goes away then back.. it get really bad when the car gets warmed up. the turbo seems dry to me im thinking its the rings.. the head is all new stuff only 25 miles on that. the plugs are bone dry the car is running a very rich tune with a 11.o afr at idle

Specifically when does it smoke and when does it not smoke? Have you checked for air bubbles in the coolant or coolant in the oil or oil in the coolant?

The head gasket is good.. theres no coolant problems.. it ll start smoking about 5 minutes after start up then ill drive it and it ll smoke bad.. itll go away for a few minutes then come back.. im guna dump some lucas in it with some 20w50 oil and ill see what happens
