So. I have an 88 tc with tube header, t3/t4 hybrid. Stock ic afpr set at 40# with walbro 255 2.5" strait pipe plugs gapped to 30. Gillis set to 18# pulls full 18psi through 2ND gear but when 3rdgear comes up, about 10psi is all she's got? What am I missing here please and thank you!

Guess what I don't understand is that I have full boost at the Same rpm in the previous gear so what is slowing the process?

Usually the concern is lower boost in 1st and maybe second and higher boost in the upper gears due to differences in engine loading.
It's possible that the WG is being blown open in the upper gears. You could test this by removing the WGA rod from the pivot arm and wiring the WG shut. Carefully test drive the car and see if the results change. BE ready to back off the accelerator quickly because it can over boost real fast.

Thanks Pete i was heading in that direction already I'm just afraid of blowing her up lol. You'd think a turbo that big would come with a stronger wg. In fact I noticed the one on the ihi is bigger yet the turbo is smaller. Hopefully I'll have it nailed down by tomorrow and my highway power back.

It may be a WGA problem. That's why i want to see what happens when it's taken out of the circuit.
