I just got another turbocoupe yesterday that wont start.I checked all that I can without having a wiring diagram. So heres the deal=No power to coil, think its bad ign.switch, already changed eec.Is there anyway to check or bypass ign. switch?

Easy test: Jumper coil pos terminal to batt pos terminal. See if you have spark / car starts. If it doesm ig. sw. is bad, or circuit from ig. sw. to coil is open. Not 100% sure, but I think these is a fuse link in this circuit. I am at work, and cant check my EVTM to be sure.

Nevermind, mine wasn't the one to the coil power, it was to the starter and such. But check the fusable links by the battery anyway, can't hurt!

EEC IV / TFI ignition systems dont have a resistor in the coil power lead like the "old days" of points and condensers, so no damage will result jumpering the coil right to the batt.

You have to explain more of what you've done. Is there power at the coil with the key on in both run and start? What did you change when you changed the "eec"? How did you test for spark? Have you looked at the ignition switch?
