No power through Selnoid? bought 3 new ones

i have no power going threw my selanoids. i bought three new ones, all they do is click. the car wont start. i replaced the starter cable too. all i get is about 3 volts. everything going to the selanoid checks out fine. just no power going to the starter! help!

Umm...have you checked the starter out?
DO you havce 12V going to the solenoid?
DO you have 12V from the Ignition switch in the "Start" position?
Have you checked the ignition switch?

starter good
12v to soleniod, good
12v to switch, good
on start, good

no power going through, bad

Have you checked the engine ground, or made sure that the starter is grounded? This happenned to me and drove me crazy as well. The starter wasn't exactly tight so there was not sufficient ground. Just a thought.
