No code, yet abs light is on

I just jumped the connector in the trunk per Jeff K's (thanks Jeff) instructions, and I still can't get a code out of my abs. The light is on, but no flashing when the key is turned to run; just stays solid.
I jumped the first bottom to the 2nd top (4 across top) and...nada....
Help? The wire colors are not what people said they should be. (see thread "how to jump for codes").
Thanks
Matt

Check the ABS power relay... its one of the 2 relays right under the vac tree. It is the one with the O/Y, BR/PK, T/R, and 2 GY wires. The T/R wire should be 12 V at all times... fed directly from the batt thru fuse link T. With the key on, the O/Y wire should be supplying power to the ABS computer. If the ABS computer doesnt get power thru the relay, the light will be on, but you wont get codes. Also be sure the GY/Y wire at the ABS computer has power when the key is in run.

Thanks Jeff. I'll check it.
I'm still finding my way around this car. So to confirm, the vac tree is drivers side, offset above ABS pump, and the relay is under that....and the abs computer is the pass side drop down in the trunk, right?
Thanks again.

Yup, you got it, Matt... the black plastic vac tree sticks out from the firewall. There is a little housing under it that houses 2 relays, with the wires pointing down. One relay is the ABS power relay. The other relay is the high press brake pump relay. The pump is seperate entirely from the rest of the ABS system so if the ABS part of the braking system fails, you still have power brakes, just no ABS. The real trouble comes when the red BRAKE light stays on... typically, you then have only manual brakes, and the car is a BITCH to stop!!

From the EVTM:
The Anit-Lock Warning Indicator is turned on if the Control Module is turned OFF with the Ignition Switch in run.

For me, it was low fluid...so just check the brake fluid too...

Hhmm. The brakes are kind of spongy and need a pump or two. I'll give that a look.
The brakes do need to be changed too.

Ok. the R/Y wire is not charged with the key on. Now, I don't have a fancy tester, just a pointy screw driver that lights up, and while it did light up for T/R wire, not for the R/Y, so indeed there is no power to the computer.
Bad relay, I guess?
Anyone know the part number?

Also check the plug on the front of the master. I've knocked mine loose checking timing or whatever and the ABS light will stay on.
