I'm happy to find out that I COULD reach my fingers down the turbo inlet and bary get my hands to the impellers and the nut holding them on. It spins with easy friction, if that makes sense, with no rough spots. I could barely grab the nut (c'mon guys I saw that post [Image: redface.gif] ) but it didn't move in or out as best I could try.
Unless I should really be able to grab a hold and shake the turbine I'm thinking it's almost a shame I'm considering getting a T3 from Scott..... Maybe I'll just turn it up to 20 lbs for a while [Image: biggrin.gif] .

Don't know that I'd go 20, 17 or 18 maybe. With the IHI, the heat of the air charge goes way up after about 18 or so. Also, you get over 17.5 and you'll be setting off the turbo buzzer, which is a little startling if you're not expecting it. [Image: biggrin.gif]

It has been said that 18PSI is the limit of the tiny IHI...after that like Joe said the air gets real hot. Heat = less power and detonation. A bigger turbo that can move more air will be more efficent at 20PSI and make more power with the same boost(colder air charge) I would get a T3 and turn up the boost..

Ya see, I'm needing an EXCUSE to buy a new turbo. [Image: wink.gif] (wink wink nod nod gov'na?)

As in helping it along in wearing out; sarcastically. I wouldn't actually do that considering the effect would wear out my engine much quicker than a turbo.

I'm right happy with 15lbs, the extra 2-5lbs isn't worth it with this turbo. Not the fastest thing but can hold ground good. This winter will be time to start walking away.
