Check it out. These aint no cheap $39 'racing seats' ... oh no, this is MUCH more appropriate for the Thunderbird.

The seller has lotsa things like this for similar prices. In this case I had no competing bidders ... so I put my bid in at the last minute and snagged em.
Installation shouldn't be too hard. I can make them fit. Might have to drill some holes and weld in some stiffening plates, but that'll be easy.
I picked the acura seats, cuz the power controls are all on the seats sides, and I'm fairly certain the seat heaters don't require any special modules to control them, ie: no $$$ extra stuff to buy.
Other seats that are like this are any of GM's offerings-- I think they're all self contained too.
Beware VW/Audi seats. They ride on special rails that often aren't included, you'll end up with a nice expensive seat that has no boltholes for mounting, and the seat heater module is a "comfort control" module that costs $250-$350 all on it's own. Then there's the wiring and the switches ... forget that. Wayyy too expensive. I wanted them from a Passat, but after seeing this it just seems too difficult.
Lexus makes some nice seats too, same with Volvo.
Will take pics of the install + new black carpeting. Can't wait!
