newbie w/ a problem - no turn signals

I just bought my first thunderbird (87 turbo coupe) and its got a few problems i need to take care of. the biggest one im having trouble tracking down is a lack of turn signals. i have replaced the switch and the flasher canister with known good units (thanks to my ranger) and still get the same result. the fuse marked for turn signals (number 5 iirc) isnt blown and the other things on that circuit all work properly. anybody have any suggestions where to go from here?

one of my other issues is a buzzing noise coming from the column/dash. if i turn the wipers on, the noise goes away, but with the wipers off and the key on, something is making noise.

pics of the car so nobody has to ask:

I've also started having problems with my wipers, they don't park when you shut them off, and they move even with the switch off. I had to unplug the switch to keep them from trying to turn on. I don't have a good replacement to test, the one on my truck is no good.

Thanks for the welcome, good to see somebody in my neck of the woods! Wasn't in delta or wauseon, but did spend some time in swanton over the weekend. I'm sure you would have remembered the black on the hood compliments of the PO....

Turns out the fuse was bad... not blown but aparently corroded enough that it was only making contact on occasion. The wipers I still haven't figured out though, they either don't park and just buzz when off, or they do park but dont stop once they do. The motor keeps going backwards like it's still trying to park. Not sure why but it switches back and forth from one problem to the other.

I don't know how I never saw this post before. Glad you got the signals worked out. The parking feature is not an uncommon problem. The following post has a lot of information as to what to do about it...
