hey man i already know this...dont rub it in [Image: frown.gif]

if you removed the VAM from the turbo and leave it plugged in it wont start...as long as its unplugged and the ecu isnt getting any signal from it, it should run

the car is/was wicked with it off...now it wont even run clean with the vam off [Image: rolleyes.gif]

i guess i can try some new plugs, cap&rotor...i dunno how much ford wires cost

it only seems to do this once ive been driving the car for 5 or 10 minutes...even if i drive it for an hour and it stutters...let it sit 10 minutes...get in it and drive it would take 5 or 10 minutes before it will stutter again

ive tried turning off the ign for a minute while im rolling down the road and starting it back up but it still stutters

after a few minutes of sitting it clears up

I'm sorry, I really didn't mean it to be bad. I meant more along the lines of I couldn't believe it ran without the vam connected. Try the car rotor first they are fairly cheap.

Keep us posted.

its cool man [Image: biggrin.gif]...ill try a cap & rotor and let everyone know...i noticed that i have a miss with the spout plugged in but no miss with it out...i didnt really notice a miss but the timing light definatly skips with the spout in and when it does the timing mark drops to around tdc...not sure if that means anything yet [Image: confused.gif]

My car would drive just fine without the VAM, thats what I did when I bought it, I just drove it around the back roads with it unplugged and removed. It wouldnt idle though, it goes into fail safe mode and dumps all the fuel it can. When I finally got the car running, I had to change the plugs because the others were so fouled out. They will run without the VAM though.

I thought I fixed it by finally putting gas in it but it turns out, I really havent fixed it. It would run bad when I cranked it up to drive it but it was always cold, it would run so bad that I couldnt drive enough to get it warmed up, it would always drive with the VAM out of the car.

I drove it with no VAM to my friend's house to check the fuel pressure, stopped and got gas, went over there, the fuel pressure gauge had a different fitting so he said, lets try plugging the VAM up anyway, plugged it up and it ran fine but thats because the car was warmed up. I realised that it will run good but only once it gets to a certain temperature. I am guessing it needs an ECT sensor, which I have for it, I am going to put it on soon and see if that fixes it.
