New t3 power problems

Just installed the 86 svo mustang t3 .63 in my 88 turbo coupe and have a few questions. When I accelerate the power is awesome then a few seconds in after I stretch the gear the power falls off, like the cars running out of breath. If you punch it quick power is awesome, then quickly falls off. But still runs super smooth, no shakes no burps. gills boost only set at 19.

Car has stock fuel pressure regulator, and fuel pump. Could the lack of fuel pressure be the reason for this. All ignition parts are new also.

Sounds like you have a ranger roller cam or the cam is advanced. How was it before the turbo swap? Any other changes to your combo besides the turbo? Could be fuel as well. Get a gauge on it and go for a ride to see what the pressure readings are.

Do you have a BOV or BPV installed? It may have a weak spring and with the increased boost pressure its blowing open to soon. Make sure its at maximum setting.

The WGA and BPV are to different parts. Our cars didn't come with a BPV or BOV from the factory.

Ok then I dot have either of those. Stock cam. A friend was telling me the waist gate accuator could have a weak spring it not strong enough or may have an adjustment on it. I don't see an adjustment. He said it might open or close premature.

It was raining pretty good last night and I got stuck in the rain storm. Car was running Awesome I could floor it and no power loss. Would the humidity play a part in that. Today dry day car wouldn't let me floor it again bogged down

I'm not sure why your car was running better in the rain. The wastegate actuator rod should have some preload on it, meaning you should have to pull the rod to get it on the wastegate.

Just tried tugging on the accuator rod.i was pulling and. Pushing pretty hard I can't move it. Should it move freely with engine off? How much force is required to
Budge it?

It should be pretty hard to pull toward the WG, engine on or off.

Turbos run better in humid weather or cooler weather because the air is denser
