Now that is vintage! You'll be glad you posted those pics in its current state, after you spruce it up.

Life is weird sometimes. I just couldn't let her go to the crusher but my wife (and I'm sure neighbors) were sick of looking at it.

Turns out that my kids are aspiring gear heads and my oldest is going to take it on as his first project. He can't be in auto shop until next year, 11th grade, so the teacher had him sign up for the adult education class at night. Everyone there is so into it and they love to see a kid take an interest in older cars. His goal is to find something like a Nova and fix it up. Its amazing what they can do with body and frame work nowadays.

So my coupe has a new lease on life. We'll see how it goes.

A NOVA? Seriously? Is that because a Chevette wasn’t available? Wink Big Grin :giggle:

Well the TC should be quite a step up from that.
Another proud dues-paying member.

1987 Turbo Coupe w/T5OD, 8.8 axle, grey smoke; most options. Got it in 1991 with 41K miles: 3 turbos, 2 heater cores, 3 T5OD full rebuilds, 6 clutches, 1 head gasket, 2 Teves II ABS units, etc. later....

[Edit: I’m not talking about an 80’s version]

Uh... Yeah seriously. What are you, on dope? Quite a step up?

Look online, how many turbo coupe's do you see selling for $30-$50k and higher? There are Nova's going for that all day. The top 30 listings on Hemmings are all over $50k

I'll give you that it's no GTO, Barracuda, or Chevelle or even a Camaro for that matter. It's a more bargain priced vintage car-but damn.

For a fifteen year old kid? With access to a great auto shop, with tons of very experienced guys that love restoration/mod and can't wait to pass on their knowledge to a new generation? Most any kid would be stoked to own a V8 American muscle car. Heck, I would. We ‘ll be lucky to get something like this for 9k, I couldn’t even get 900 for my TC. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1974-Chevrolet-...2924777975

Don't get me wrong I love my TC.
