Wondering what an ‘88 Turbo Coupe with 111 miles on it would be worth? Never titled. MSO. Stored in metal building. Hasn’t been started since 2014.

Well, there's a 1987 Turbo Coupe on eBay right now, 5600 miles, and they're asking $30k but it's been re-listed a bunch of times and doesn't seem to be going anywhere. On the other end, the very best low-mileage, excellent condition cars seem to sell in the mid-teens. Manuals are worth more than automatics. Working against the seller is that a lot of the theoretical value is tied up in the ultra low mileage so you need a buyer who is either content to pay a bunch for a car that he or she can't really drive, or is willing to spend a bunch just to get a really nice car to drive at least a little. I'm not sure people in the former category really exist for this car, people like them but they're frankly not in the same category as a vintage Ferrari or Porsche. So you need somebody willing to pay a premium for a really nice driver and who is willing to do whatever work is required to get it road-worthy again.

My advice to somebody who wanted to sell a car like this would be to give it a good clean, hire a good photographer, and list it on Bring a Trailer. My guess is that it might sell for somewhere around $20k, plus or minus.

If you don't mind the question, how did the car end up in this state? And I'm sure people would love to see pictures.

It's hard to say what it's worth, but what a prize. They are really only good for driving. Not much point really apart from that. What would you do with such a thing?

I don't think $30,000 is out of line at all, but I am not sure anybody would give it. Nice preserved low mileage ones don't really break $10,000, do they? I don't necessarily keep track.
