Copied and pasted from TF:

Went to TnT at the 1/4 mile track this evening.
First run, I just ran it with the 26psi and just used the N20 for spoolup. Went 10.82 @ 123.9. Not a bad start.
Second pass, turned the boost up to 28psi and still just used the nitrous for spoolup. Went 10.70 @ 125. New best "no nitrous down track" pass.
Third pass, decided it was time to spray the track. Hammered out a 10.37 @ 130.9!
Fourth pass, dialed in another pound of boost but something happened down track and it dropped from 29psi down to 21-22psi. Will ck that out tomorrow. It also lost some oil out of the catch can drain that some idiot left wide open [Big Grin] Still managed to muster a 10.50 @126.

All in all, it was a pretty good night. We got video of every pass. Just got to figure out why my YT acct is locked so I can post them.

10.37 slip: http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f92/tu...0055be.jpg

I guess the video camera was having trouble focusing on the time on the 10.37.

As an update to this, I think I know why the car lost power on the last pass. I got it back in the garage and the timing belt was very loose. I could remove it by hand if I wanted to. Turns out the cam timing pointer broke off and I would bet it fell into the timing gears. The ignition timing was retarded 2 degrees and the cam gear was off one tooth. I bet it jumped when the pointer hit the gears.
I reset the cam and ignition timing, re tensioned the belt and it seems to run fine. Thinking it might be a good idea to replace the belt and tensioner just because.

OK I can see the timing pointer causing the belt to skip a tooth, but how could the belt have gotten loose like that??? :dunno:

Only thing I can think of is the force of the timing pointer getting between the belt and a gear maybe forced the tensioner back out of position?
