Took the bird to TnT last night. My plan was to do a boost only pass on the first run and if everything looked good, spray my 50 shot all the way down on the second run. I lowered the launch limiter from 5000rpm to 4900 to see if giving the converter a little more "flash" rpm would help....it did.

First run, used the 50 shot to get up on the brake and released the TB and N2O at the same time. Went 10.81 @ 124 with 1.52 60'. New best "no spray" pass!

Next run, I decided to spray the track. As soon as the car launched, it spun and pushed the car way left out of the groove. I stayed on the floor but released the nitrous button, About 30' later when the car was straightened back up and in the groove, I hit the button again and held it all the way. Went 10.58 @ 129 with a 1.50 60'

I was racing a bike on that one...he ran out the back door!

I was going to lower the tire pressure about .5 psi and try again, but I noticed a few drops of water that had come out from under the rad cap and decided to call it a night. I usually use VP MS109, but the shop I buy it from was out and so I used MS103 this time. Maybe that was a bad idea?...Not sure. Car still runs and boosts just fine right now.

I will get vids up in a bit.

Congrat Chris....

Thats hailing the mail no matter the power plant. Geez...I wonder if you lifted the head abit on the full nitrous pass?

Can you post or PM with the details of the night....weather, max boost, and such.

Thanks,

Travis

I still am wondering if the fuel was a factor. MS109 motor octane is 101. MS103 motor octane is 99. Not a big difference, but if my car needed that extra 2 points, who knows? I ran the boost all the way up yesterday and everything was fine.

Travis, I will PM the conditions.

It's a transbraked C4 with a Coan 8" converter.
