New Amp won't turn on

So I installed a new deck even though the radio and antennae didn't work, and tonight I fixed that. But I hooked up my amp to test out a set of subs I have but the amp will not turn on. The power cable and ground cable are correctly installed, but the blue accessory cable is the culprit.

My question is;

The stock stereo in my car had an equalizer, and when I hooked up the new deck I didn't use any cables from the equalizer, just from the old deck. Is there more than one blue acc. cable in the radio/equalizer harness? I'm thinking I connected the two wrong cables together.

The deck works just fine, I can still listen to music no problem.. It's just that the amp will not power on, therefor my subwoofers are recieving no power, making them not work.

Oh and there's nothing wrong with the amp.. I hooked it up to my friends car to power his subs and it worked great

Probably your easiest solution is to run a separate wire from your new deck's "power on" (blue) control wire to the matching control lead on your amp. IIRC the stock system didn't use a "power up" type wire, but it's been a while since I looked at the schematics and I could be wrong here.

That is correct if I remember my sub install. I got one of those RCA monster cables that has a "ground" which I used to switch the amp on. I bypassed the amp entirely and used the cable I ran to the back to power the sub. I did use the existing "non premium" sound connectors behind the dash for everything else ( I also have premium sound).
