I got A gasket F1ZZ 6584 A (oem TC part number) from Miller Obsolete Ford Parts, 6 Emma st., Binghampton,NY. Phone 607 772 5371.

Cost $10.00 plus $5.00 shipping! Came in the original Ford bag. I don't know if it's the same as the Ranger gasket.

Also Greens obsolete parts in Cinncinati shows "in stock" in their search. ...john

The ranger gasket we know and love is not a cork gasket. This one is a rubber?compound and has grommets in it to help prevent over tightening.

It is not a cork gasket.

I'm gonna order the gasket first thing tomorrow. It's leaking pretty good, the mouse problem is bothering me still. No signes of him anywhere

Another +1 for the Ranger gasket. It *is* the bee's knees! Mines been installed since 2005 or so and is still going strong.

When you get tired of removing the valve cover to fix leaks you will end up with the Ranger gasket and never look back.

The mouse may be bad news. My heater box was plugged completely by a mouse nest when I got the car. I had to pull the heater motor and clean it all out.... took forever and was a total PITA.

Hope it is better for you.

My heater box was also plugged by pack rats, but I don't think they can get in car that way unless they chew through the box. How big is the mouse? If its like a cotton ball size, I've seen those run across the sticky traps with no problem.

The mouse was on the bigger size, i left 2 big sticky traps with food on them he ate some off the trap but didn't get stuck to it.

hes still there

What opening under the car would the mouse get in?
