So my step-son (19 yrs old) asked if he could help re-build my Bird so he could learn before he attempted to re-build a Mustang. Of course the extra help is always needed. The first thing I said was never, never take anything apart that you can't put back together. Take a picture, draw a diagram but remember how it came apart. Well he's been doing great in that area. The other day I looked in the trunk and I saw 2 rubber trim pieces that for the life of me I can't remember where they go. I asked my step-son and of course I got NEVER TAKE ANYTHING A PART YOU CAN'T PUT BACK TOGETHER DAD!! I thought it was kind of funny.

Been taking things apart all my life. Pay very close attention when taking a trans valve body apart and a four barrel carb. Springs and bearings come flying out. Hard enough to find them let alone where they came from. bobbymac
