I sent you some info on testing the TFI/PIP.
Does the check engine light function? With the ignition key On, engine Off, does the light come on? It should.
If it does work correctly as described above, when you crank the engine, is the check engine light turning off? If not, the EEC isn't getting a signal from the PIP, so it doesn't know when to work the coil.
---------------------------
If it passes the CEL test JT talked about, and the coil has 12V on the positive side during crank and run, try this: Test light between coil neg terminal and ground. Light should light key on, engine off. Then crank it over. If TFI is firing the coil, the test light will flash on and off. If light doesnt flash, but CEL test is a pass, either TFI is bad, or you have a wiring problem.

---------------------------
Does the coil pos terminal have 12V with key in RUN and START? Use a test light for this, not a DMM. If no 12V at coil, suspect the ignition switch.
Test light between coil neg terminal and ground. Crank motor. If TFI is working, light will flash.
