I have a aftermarket head unit installed so i dont need the factory EQ. I installed a few aftermarket gauges were the factory EQ use to be and found both illumination and accessory wires at the old EQ harness.

Why not use the coil power to trigger a relay to then power what you want.
Tap into the wires at the headlight. If you go to the headlight relay modification in the tech articles, you will find the color of the wires for both low and high beams
