I am trying to find out what the name of the part thats is attached to the door. Its some trim that prevent water or the element from getting inside the door where the window goes up and down. I am having the hardest time looking for them cause my cracked and have broken.

I don't know if these will work on '87-'88's or not, but they do work for 4-eyes. JC Whitney carries universal dew wipes - part number KM819751. I have a set on the shelf that will make their way on to the car some day. Someone else would need to confirm if they will or will not work for later birds as I cannot.

Hi NATO !

Better late than never they say . . .

Fyi, P/N KM819751 is no longer available at jcwhitney.com . Darn. So...

I just bought 2 pieces of generic "dew wipes" from jcwhitney.com . It's their P/N 1369-4 . The description is:
Fairchild Industries Belt Weatherstrip Seal, Sold Individually
SKU #: JCW-819751 Mfr #: 1369-4
Notes: Belt weatherstrip Unbeaded; Rigid Flocked Lining; Rubber Covered; 48 in length

Btw, when I searched for 1369-4 at jcwhitney.com, it returned 18 different "1986 Thunderbird Turbo" weatherstrips.

They were $35.01 US total, with free shipping included :-)
That's the best price I could find anywhere. Interestingly, RockAuto has them as P/N 1369-4X2 (ie. you get 2 pieces as one P/N).

I'll let you know how the install goes when I get around to it.

Regards,
Bret

P.S. My original post on the dew wipe topic is at Seeking source for rubber window seal/trim.. I decided to add today's thread to the current page (ie. where you are now) because this post and its threads are a little newer.
