Should I be able to easily turn the input shaft by hand? I was hearing some bad noises in the clutch aeria and now that I have the moprob is. I am going to be getting a new bearing tor out I am trying to figure out what the retainer but what bothers me is that I can turn the input shaft with ease by hand. Is this a prob?

It is a 1987TC

Ohhh btw guys i think that after market bearing retainer Sam sent me the link for may work with my tranny. I remember the guy who sold me the car said the tranny came out of a mustang! [Image: smile.gif] I am not sure if the N/A 2.3 Mustang used a T5 but I am pretty sure the V8's did is there anyway I can easily verify this?

Yes the 2.3l na Mustangs came w/ a T-5. If you still have the ID tag on it, I can tell you what it was from if you have the "dash" number..ie, -116 was from an 85-86 SVO and -162 was from an 87-88 NA Mustang...... Find that tag and I'll tell you what your's is out of.

Also, it will turn harder if the tranny is in gear than if in neutral, but you should still be able to turn it by hand as Pete said.
