Hey guys, i need some info and part numbers from you guys. I'm going to finally replace the ECT sensor and a couple of leakey Injector O-rings. Now this is what i think I'll need in parts:

Upper to lower intake gasket
O-Ring set ...?From Napa i think I heard?
Carb cleaner
Beer
ECT Sensor...wich i already have

Anything else?? Every parts store I go to says that they cannot find a upper to lower gasket, so i need a part # and price if possible I Also need the PN for the O-ring set for the injectors if anybody has it. The fuel smell is getting bad enough that i'm getting a headache from driving it. do you guys use teflon tape on the ECT?? and is there anything i should do since I have the upper intake off already?

1. Upper to lower gasket, Felpro 92914, but I'm not sure you can order it as an individual item. May have to order an upper end gasket kit???

2 O rings. Any parts store carries them. Even Autozone would have trouble screwing this part up. GP Sorensen makes them, p/n 800-9212
How do you know it's leaking O rings and not a leaky injector?

3.carb cleaner. Try not to confuse it with 4.

4. beer. Lubricant for auto repair projects.

5. I prefer teflon goop to tape but either will work

You only need two tools in life; WD-40 and Duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should use WD-40. If it moves and it shouldn't, use Duct Tape.

I Know its an o-ring because you can see a little fuel spray out when you rev the engine (with help of a friend) and it comes out right between the fuel rail snd the injector..... so I'm pretty sure its an o ring.

when i purchased my valve cover gasket kit for the XR7 yesterday, it came with the upper-to-lower intake gasket...i gave the parts guy a puzzled look since i usually just take the TB off to remove the VC, but it will come in handy since a couple hours later the oil cooler return line popped and i had to take the upper off and the lower(what a PITA) to get at it

part # : felpro vs50043r-1

all hi-temp rubber, not cork-rubber, with wire reenforcements for the bolt holes...just like the F5xx ford gasket, except $20 cheaper, and it was on the shelf at autozone...both the ford, and the linc/merc dealer would have had to order it. the felpro kit comes with the upper/lower gasket to boot [Image: biggrin.gif]
