so what i have read is that cobra r's 17x9 will work with 275/47/17 tires with no rubbing right?

I would like to go smaller like 17x8 but cant find them. I used the search function and got so confused as to what everyone was saying.

any suggestions? what about the center cap hitting the rim in the front? do I need spacers?

245/45/17 & 275/40/17. Can't help you with the rim specs as they were on the car when I got it.

Weather they rub or not is all in the backspacing. I dont remember the correct backspace off hand (but I do remember it is different than the FOX Stangs of that era). Do a search. The backspace specs are around here somewhere.

No idea.... like I said, I dont remember the backspace / offset #s, and I dont think I ever wrote them down.

Might want to contact Chuck Warren (Chuck W).... he knows more about TC suspensions than just about anyone. I am sure he knows the numbers
