ahhh go figure 5 days before im gonn apaint the damn car it start giving me this sh*t.

ok the porblem. both started at the same time, so i guess they are related.
1) after the trans fliud fianlly warms up it has trouble with reverse, i can get it to move in reverse but it only work for maybe 2-3 seconds then it just cuts out, so i put it bakc in reverse and another 2-3 seconds, so it works for a lil while.
2) agian once it warms up 2-3 shift is very hesistant, it shifts you cna feel it bu tit doeasnt drop in rpm, but i have to let up and when i do it shits into 3 and im on my way. but very annoying in stop and go traffic being the car shifts in to 3rd about 30mph on light loud.

today i plan on this. i have a glass type fuel filter inline near the trans coolers tyo filter out soem cra from when i lost O/D.
im gonna change that, and i noticed a few weks back im about 2-3 quarts over ful?!?! im gonna drian it out some.

is there one part that is really doing or a bunch, i want soem deep techinical info im digging deep this time, it onyl has to last 5 more days!!!!!!!!!

SAME thing happened to me. My auto was overfilled.

It wouldn't go into reverse, it wouldn't go into drive unless it was in overdrive. If I put it directly to 3rd 2nd or 1st it wouldn't go at all. I knew the tranny wasn't dead 'cause it gave no warning.

I came home, checked the fluid and it was about 3-4 qts. overfilled. I loosened the bolts enough to let the fluid slowly pour out into an empty oil bottle until I took out 3 qts. Checked the fluid again, it was in the right zone this time however the tranny still didn't work, so I blocked off the wheels in case it decided to give out overnight and roll into my neighbor's house and went to bed. Woke up the next morning, started it up for work, and it shifted perfect.

Hey Bri,
Your problem is in the direct/reverse clutch pack, this is applied for both reverse and direct/3rd gears. Bad seals in the drum, or on the center support, or a cracked center support could all cause the problem, this means overhaul time:-(. Sorry guy, but that is the only way out that I can see from here. Good luck Bri.
