Quote:and what do i need to do to get keys thanks

regular key blanks at any key shop. TC blanks always on Ebay.

I'm not sure if the dealer can get you key codes or not.

On my old car I lost the keys for about a week and just took out the steering column shroud and used a screwdriver in the ignition switch slot to start and run the car. If you take the switch out you will see how it works. There are a couple positions: start, run, and off and I think accessories is on the switch too, could be wrong.

I don't think you can remove the Key Tumbler unless its in the Run Position & push in the little locking pin. I know this for a fact cause I had to do it last week to replace the one in the Blue car as well as when I got stranded in Cecil. A locksmith is the only one who should be able to do it.

I'm talking about the actual ignition switch. I unbolted it from the column and used the slot inside of it to operate the vehicle.

look, about 2 inches behind the lock cylynder itself(what the key goes in) is the ignition switch(what the lock cylynder moves). there are 2 tamper proof screws holding the switch on the column. you will have to disassemble the column cover(the plastic shroud). the switch will be about 3 inches long, silver and have a bunch of wires coming out of a black and white plug. take out the screws, and there will be a slot where the stud from the cylynder goes. insert a bolt or screwdriver(without damaging the plastic) and move it one direction or the other. all the way one way is start(run) and all the way the other way is ACC. one notch short of ACC is off. this will get you going till you find your keys, or have a locksmith remove your cylynder, and get a new one. do not attemp to remove the cylynder with out the keys, you WILL screw up the column, and possibly cause irrepairable damage!!!

note- both of these parts can be had at any local parts store.(the cylynder, with keys, and the electrical ignition switch.)

hope this helps,
moller
