I keep getting a code 23, and when bench testing the tps I have a dead spot at what should be idle. So before I go and replace it I was thinking I would check in to see if there is a *better* senser to get? or should I stick with an oe? Due to budget reasons I may be looking at either a part house or rock auto.....

When it comes to 80's ford electronic sensor...I really like motorcraft...
I doubt that there is a (better/more reliable/more accurate) TPS sensor for our cars...

I'm finding out the motorcraft part is no longer available. Can I use a tps sensor from a NA 2.3l say from a mustang?
Rockauto shows different part numbers for the mustang, and a lot more options than for the tbird.

The ford one has been obsolete for the past couple of years. I tend to get my stuff at carquest when it's not available at the dealer. My TPS is from them and works great. A lot of their products tend to be either Wells brand or sometimes actual ford parts in different boxes.
