Mystery rattle solved!

I had this rattle that seemed to be getting worse. I was beginning to piss me off. It sounded like it was coming from the trunk on the passengers side. This morning I started taking the trunk trim pieces out. The first thing I noticed was the shock actuator was just laying on the floor. Turns out, the nut on the shock holding the bracket and rubber isolators had loosen up. As the nut backed off the noise got worse. Tighten everything up and no more noise! Man I was glad to fix that. This is something you might want to look out for.
