Hi Everyone,
I started this build in May on a car I picked up for $500. It was clean but didn't have an engine and started life has automatic. Before I got this car I had a Merkur XR4. It died from a large tree branch falling on it. So I had a lot of 2.3 stuff laying around. Some of this is old news to some and some of the pictures have been posted before but I decided to put everything in one place. The plan is to build a track car that can still be tagged and driven on the street some times. I had gotten a ton of work done on the car with the help of my friend Rob Booth who figured out how to get all the Maximum Motor sports stuff to fit. I then hurt my back in June and haven't touched the car until today. I finally got the car into the garage witch was a wreck. So my goal for the weekend was to get the garage clean and the car in it. The garage still needs a little work but the car is in it as of 11:00pm tonight. What a struggle!!!!! Now that the car is there I can finish stripping out the factory wiring harness and clean up the tar paper residue.

Then I got the car stripped out and we started adding some parts.

And now tonight with it in its winter home.

Here is a hint to one of the modifications I have planned.

I know this car isn't going to be everyone's cup of tea and some of you are wishing I just did all of this to a Mustang. I don't like being like everyone else. There are tons of Mustangs at the track already. Turbo Coupes are much better looking cars than Mustangs with more of a aerodynamic shape. This car was a dead car that had been sitting for 10 years and now will have a new life. But its going to be a hard one.
Stay tuned!
