28 = VAT sensor voltagr out of self test spec. Was it less than 50 * F ambient air temp when you pulled the codes. If so don't worry about it. If warmer than 50, could be a probelm w/ the VAT

67 = did you by any chance have the A/C or the defrost or partial defrost setting on when you did the test? If not then there is a list of possibilities, let us know.

81 = electro drive fan circuit failure. or IAC circuit failure or boost control solenoid circuit failure.

Do you have the factory BCS unplugged electrically?

What wres? what plugs?

Firm light will come on at over 3/4 throttle, which is probably what you are seeing.

Check fuel presure under load to be sure it is base (39 psi stock) plus boost. If fuel pressure cant keep up under boost, car will run like crap, and bog under boost.

BCS: black solenoid mounted to inner fender near VAF. 2 vac lines, one electrical connector. Allows EEC to adjust boost between 10 and 15 psi.

You need a fuel pressure gauge with a long enough hose so you can tape it to the windshield and see it when driving. Attaches to schraeder valve on fuel rail. About $40 at most parts stores, and worth every penny when trying to diagnose drivability problems.
