I'd say you would get at least triple the money if you sold the parts individually. But remember, if you stick a v8 in it, you also need to sell the turbo coupe badges! BOOOO! [/b]
It will still be turbo powered.

Ouch! Your car of course... Do what you want... But I just cringe at the thought of a low mileage TC in great condition gutted to be converted to a V-8 car. I'm all for the preservation of original Turbo Coupes. There's plenty of V-8 T-Birds out there that can be turned into a hot rod. I would pass on the TC to someone who will preserve, restore and enjoy it it it's original state. This reminds me of SVOs gutted and turned into V8 cars. Why? There's plenty of V8 Mustangs out there too. JMHO...

What riisitas said, especially with the low milage. It's your call, but if you're really going to replace the engine, you may want to consider hanging on to it and stashing it in a corner someplace.

IMHO You'll never have the satisfaction with a V8 that you would with that little 4 Banger and all the power it can make cheap. There's nothing like beating or hanging with a big V8 and then showing them that 4 cylinder.

Done that many times.(embarrased a V8). And I agree. these birds are a rare breed, and we need to keep as many around as possible. I always get comments from people saying they never see them. I am lucky to have one again after a 5 year search. I would love to have a spare engine complete though. but need to get the T/C painted. That costs more than an engine I swear!!! But V8 w/turbos wow!

I have sold a handful of these same type of drive packages, depending on the mileage Ive gotten anywhere from 500-700.00 (outright or on Ebay) dollars I would include the following with the kit engine complete/5spd tranny with computer and wiring harness which if you are doing v8 swap you would not need those parts with exception of possibly the wiring harness which will have to be tweaked anyway.
Thanks

It's HUGE undertaking to swap one over if it's done correctly... If you aren't good with electrical, I don't recommend it...

I'm still looking for the 2.3 TC that can hang with me(there are a few out there)... If you look at track times you'll notice of the all time quickest runs, I'm #3... Six years ago I was the fastest, but like the grasshopper, been restin' on my laurels and a few have slipped by... I should have run faster back then, but the nitrous system screwed up the night I was tuned up to run a 11.70...
BTW if my nitrous is disallowed I'm #8 on the list with 13.11, driven 93 miles to the track and back home(every time I raced 1/4 mi)... Since '03 I've been racin' 1/8 mi down in NC, only about 45mi, again driven every time...
